June 20th is World Refugee Day.

Help a local refugee family in need.

On June 20th, the world pauses to remember the tens of millions of people who have been driven from their homelands by war and persecution...forced to seek hospitality in a foreign land.

Over 10,000 refugees have resettled through our local World Relief offices over the past 41 years. Many of these refugees – like Maimouna, a former refugee from Liberia who is now a nurse – are now frontline medical workers, keeping our families safe during the pandemic.

These refugees make our community a better place, but right now, they need your help. Those who have been here for years are losing their jobs and their savings, and they are worried about the future. And those that have arrived recently are once again feeling frightened and alone…so soon after they had made it to safety.

By making a gift now in honor of World Refugee Day, your generosity will ensure that the more than 1,200 people who contact our offices for help each month will be able to maintain all that they have built in our communities.

Your giving ensures sustainability to our work in the greater Dupage/Aurora area. Contributions will be used for the purpose specified. If in the judgment of World Relief such purpose becomes impossible, impractical, unnecessary, or undesirable, World Relief will use contributions for its general purposes.
