Vulnerable or Valuable?
One immigrant-owned company is growing and providing the dignity of work to refugees from around the world. Read their story.
We are 80+ staff joining with over 125 local churches and 800 volunteers to serve 5,500 refugees and immigrants each year. World Relief began offering services in DuPage County in 1979 and then opened an additional office in Aurora in 1999. In community with the local church, World Relief DuPage/Aurora envisions the most vulnerable people transformed economically, socially and spiritually.
Since 2001 people across the globe have observed June 20th as World Refugee Day - a time to remember, advocate for and support the millions of people who have been torn from their homes by violence and persecution. With over 21 million refugees in the world, this day is more important than ever. While you can't change the lives of all 21 million people who have fled their homes, by joining our WRDA Monthly Sponsors program, with a gift of only $21/month, you can give hope and a future to hundreds of refugees right here in Illinois.
